Our Three Favourite Holiday Designs

I’m relying on nostalgic lyrics and Chai latte’s to get me through the ripple of Christmas blues being felt around the world. We are all facing a restricted festive season, with loved ones missing from the dinner table and the promise of reunions months away.

While we are so deeply thankful for our many blessings at this time, the disappointment of families once more spread across the world is weighing on us all.

I am always cheered up by our library of beautiful linens, glistening with iridescent gold and silver threads, bold colours and classic designs. Here are my personal favourites at this time of year. My guest bedrooms get decked out in white and gold Cavacus and Cande and our beloved kitchen table is set with white and red Chequers linens for intimate fireside suppers.

Chequers

Our pared back yet luxurious, neat and crisp version of “Satin Cord” takes its name from the Prime Minister’s weekend country retreat and is available in an amazing choice of 13 colour combinations to complement any interior design.

Chequers in red, green and gold can be easily be mixed and matched with other Reed Family Linen collections to create your own signature Christmas look. I’ll be mixing our crimson red, Christmas inspired green, gold and silver this year for an eclectic design layered with fresh flowers and collected ornaments, elevating meals with family and friends during the holidays.

Exclusively available in our 400 thread count single yarn Percale fabric.

Cavacus

Oh, how I love a beautifully made bed, especially during the holidays. To return home to a sanctuary at the end of a long day is truly one of life’s greatest privileges.

Lots of plump pillows, adorned with intricate gold and silver embroidery, perfect for the festive season.

I am always cheered up by our library of beautiful linens, glistening with iridescent gold and silver threads, bold colours and classic designs.

Our Cavacus collection’s decorative embroidery makes a dramatic statement. Inspired by the traditional ‘fohla aberta’ embroidery which originates from the Portuguese island of Madeira, the circular motifs create a striking silhouette, embroidered in your choice of metallic gold or silver thread.

The all-white option has an understated-yet-luxurious and textural feel and can be layered with more embellished pillows for the holidays.

Cande

Allow every moment no matter how simple to be elevated by the luxury of Reed Linen this festive season.

Over a century later our family and clients still drive our passion.

With its classic styling, our Candé collection feels utterly at home in a variety of settings. This beautiful embroidered bed linen was a favourite of one of our presidential clients, Nelson Mandela, and has a timeless appeal that transcends generations.

Choose from elegant self-coloured embroidery, or add a touch of glamour to your bedroom with an outline stitch in softly shimmering silver thread, perfect for a little Christmas glamour

Exclusively available in our 400 thread count single yarn Percale fabric.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas,

Everywhere you go,

It’s glistening once again,

With candy canes and silver lanes aglow,

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas,

Toys in every store,

But the prettiest sight to see is the holly that will be,

On your own front door.”

Now spanning our third century, we are a British heritage brand committed to bringing you luxurious and sustainable linen options. Our designs range from classically whimsical to minimal and modern and our iconic green gift box is a delightful sight on Christmas morning.

Skip the long queues and order a gift of linens that are designed to launder and last and that are made with care. Or give the gift of Reed Family Linen with an effortless digital gift card.

Our e-gift vouchers can be used across our collections of made-to-order bed linens, table linens, and more.

You can choose to have an e-gift voucher sent directly to the recipient’s email on a specific date, or to yourself to print at home and present to them in person.

After a challenging year, I am humbled by the commitment of our artisans and crafts men and women who’s skill bring our linen designs to life, and for your unwavering support. I am looking forward to the newness that a fresh year affords us all.

Thank you for the lessons, the blessings and everything in between.

Karen Reed.
