Your Laundry Cupboard

A Treasured Collection

Changing our bed linens, protectors and towels regularly assists with asthma and allergies and prolongs the lifespan of our linens.

We suggest keeping an extra rotation of fitted sheets, mattress and pillow protectors, bed linens and towels in your laundry cupboard.

Build up your collection over time with Reed. Our fine linens and towels are designed to be laundered and last. We suggest investing in our plain hemmed sheet sets in a neutral like classic white or earthy putty and our luxurious bath towels, first. From here you can start to collect your favourite colours and designs, which you can layer with your basics.

Ensure that your linen cupboard is cool and dry, your linens need to be protected from moisture and sunlight whilst being stored. Lavender can help with moths and keeping linens smelling beautiful in between uses.

Keep your white and different coloured linens stored separately and add a spritz of linen mist when packing freshly laundered linens away.

Don’t allow other household items and clutter to creep into your laundry cupboard over time, having designated storage for your bed linens, table linens and towels will help ensure that everything stays fresh and dry.

Mattress Protector

Mattress protectors do more than just provide extra cushioning for your mattress. They keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer by wicking away moisture. As well as increasing the lifespan of your mattress. When purchasing a mattress protector select fabrics that naturally inhibit mould and dust mites.

Our luxurious and comfortable quilted mattress protectors are carefully made and sized using a top sandwich base of Egyptian cotton sheeting and cotton wadding with a diamond quilted pattern. Available in various sizes.

Keep spares and rotate out once or twice a month to assist with allergies and asthma.

Pillow Protectors

A pillow protector is essential for keeping your down pillows in shape and preventing small feathers from spilling out, as well as adding extra comfort.

Our high-quality pillow protectors are made from cool Egyptian cotton fabric to complement our cotton bed linen collections, they have durable nylon zippers and are sold in sets of two, in various sizes.

We suggest keeping a rotation of pillow protectors to change out every second week.

Fitted Sheet

Fitted sheets are used to protect your mattress and ensure a smooth, soft surface for you to lie on. We suggest having a fitted sheet to work with for every bed set in your laundry cupboard to ensure a fresh one can be used with your weekly bedding change.

Our fitted sheets are available in all of our colours and fabrics to match the REED bed linen collections.

Linen Cupboard Tips

– Ensure that your linen cupboard is cool and dry, your linens need to be protected from moisture and sunlight whilst being stored.

– Ensure that your linens and especially your towels are completely dry before storing. Any moisture can lead to mildew.

– Hang bunches of dried lavender in your laundry cupboard to help with moths and keep linens smelling beautiful in between uses.

– We advise using old white pillowcases to store your linens, keep your white and different coloured linens separate.

– Wipe down your linen cupboard shelves every two months with an organic cleaning spray and allow shelves to dry completely before re packing the cupboard.

– Spray cedar wood bars with lemon linen mist and place in cupboard for a fresh clean scent.

It’s worth taking the time to clean and store your linens correctly. You invest a lot in linens, blankets, towels and table linens and with a little care and planning, they can for many years.

Wishing you a beautiful smelling linen cupboard and well cared for linens.
