The warm and neutral tones of our Nude percale cloth hint at sunshine and holidays, while looking comfortably at home in any interior.
Our Nude percale bed linen was first created in 2018 for the Faru Faru lodge in Tanzania, and its gentle warmth cleverly strikes a balance between clean and luxuriously buttery, without containing any yellow tones. Nude percale bed linen is just the thing for anyone looking for a calming, light-coloured bed linen that’s close to, but not quite, white. Nude percale’s warm undertones also make it the perfect hue for rooms where the natural light is bright and sunlight is direct, which can make pure-white bed linen appear too stark and severe at certain times of the day. This light and clean neutral is perfect in contemporary bedroom schemes and looks fantastic with natural materials such as bamboo, rattan and brown leather.
Colour Schemes
For a subtly layered look, why not pair crisp Nude percale bed linen with other types of cloth in the same colour? Nude percale sheeting and pillowcases are perfect paired with a duvet cover or top sheet in our soft, textured Linen Union collection in the same Nude hue. Nude also pairs incredibly well with Taupe, a soft and versatile stone shade.
Why choose cotton percale bed linen?
Reed’s high-quality percale fabric was first created and woven by our co-founder Mark’s grandfather Clifford Reed in 1934 and is an incredibly durable and long-lasting cloth. All Reed percale cotton bed linen is proven to last for more than 800 boil washes, making it a smart investment, as well as a sustainable bed linen choice for homes and hotels alike. The weight of this cloth is 125gsm with an impressive ‘Cover Factor’ of 25.5 out of a maximum 28. Cover Factor is a more reliable and transparent measure of quality than ‘thread count’, since it relates to the tightness of the weave. The higher the Cover Factor of a cloth, then the tighter the weave, and subsequently the softer the handle of the cloth will be, and the greater durability it will offer.
