The incredibly smart and polished Damask Stripe bed linen design was first made by the Reed family for the American department store group Neiman Marcus.
Though this type of bed linen is officially called Damask Stripe – a name that nods to the way in which the cloth is woven on a jacquard loom – it is more often described simply, and affectionately as ‘the hotel bed linen’, and over the years its smooth and silky texture, and elegant appearance has made it a favourite amongst hotels, their guests and, subsequently, has travelled to discerning homes.
