Description
Warm, mellow and naturally inviting, our Linen Union bed linen in Husk brings gentle warmth and effortless elegance to the bedroom. Inspired by the soft golden tones of harvested grain, this versatile neutral creates a restful, light-filled space and layers beautifully with earthy hues, crisp whites and natural textures. Combining the feel of pure linen with the easy-care characteristics of cotton bed linen, Linen Union offers the best of both worlds.
Linen bed linen has enjoyed something of a renaissance in recent years, but it can be trickier to wash and iron, and can look crumpled very quickly, which is why Reed’s Linen Union sheeting – a clever blend of linen and cotton – is the perfect alternative to pure linen sheets. Linen Union has the beautiful texture of linen, yet is much easier to care for, launder and iron than pure linen bed linen. We were first commissioned to create this bed linen by The Savoy Hotel in London, during a flax shortage that made their usual pure linen bed linen impractical. The resulting sheeting, named Linen Union in a nod to its fusion of flax and cotton, has gone on to become one of our best-selling signature fabrics. Today, as well as the original classic white bed linen ordered by The Savoy, it is available in a range of beautiful pastels, timeless neutrals and contemporary shades to suit every bedroom.
I think Husk sits nicely alongside Pebble but has its own identity. Where Pebble feels cooler and more stone-like, Husk has a soft, sunlit quality with subtle golden undertones, making it feel warmer and a little more organic without becoming yellow. It should work well as part of a cohesive collection of Reed neutrals.
